Re: 2015 Mustang
I will have to see it when it is released into the wild in about a year, to see if I like the way it looks. But, having destroyed two separate IRS assemblies on my Cobra, and, having witnessed many Corvettes with blown transaxles, and having spoken to a new SS Craparo owner who blew up the IRS on his car, I am not convinced that IRS is a good thing if one is a drag racer. But, Ford is obviously trying to reach out to a new audience since Mustang sales have tankede, and, perhaps, they have determined that if they lose some of the old core Mustang fans, it will not be much of an issues as they are aging and dying off and also, they may not be able to drive a sporty car anymore. As for the rest, I also do not want a large TV set up front with me, and a button to push to start the vehicle, and all the other electronic advances that apparently are expected and demanded by buyers now. I am actually sort of glad that my physical issues drove me to get the 5.0 that I did at this point since I like the 2012's styling better than the 2013-2014's, and it is still relatively simple as far as controls and electronic features go, and it seems to run fairly well, for an auto trans slug.

I think I read somewhere that the current average age of a Mustang buyer is 51?jhwalker wrote:It didn't get much play down here in Central Mexico.
I am clearly not their target age-wise, but I kinda like the look. I also usually hate a new model, and end up liking it, so I hope this does not mean that I will end up hating it.

Re: 2015 Mustang
I was at my Shelby Dodge/Turbo Dodge club meeting last night; over dinner several of the guys who also own Mustangs, Cobras and Snakes and such, were sitting at my table, swapping stories about clutch and independent rear suspension slippage and breakage. Boring to me, big deal to them.

Slippage and Breakage. To one degree or another, is almost always a byproduct of Big Horsepower!

Just read last night that this thing will have Paddle Shifters as an option. That sounds like a blast.
Although it won't be as much fun as banging the 2-3 while cresting the hill of Willow Turn 6 with Jay peeing himself sitting shotgun.

I have yet to lose any bodily fluids in any of the rides with you. Other than those induced from the extreme pleasure of being in your company.

Good! I need something to keep from burning my finger tips while checking the oil dipstick in the pits.
