NBA State of the state

Post by jhwalker »

Well, round 1 is wrapping up.

Who the hell are these guys playing for on Houston? who the hell Is Parsons? The beard is the beard, but I try to not think about what that thing has growing in it. I don't know how OKC wins that 4th game, but I HOPE I am wrong. Of course, as I write, they are starting a run.

I think this first round has turned out to be interesting. I would love to see the Clips win one in Memphis and come back for game 7 in LA, but the odds are probably 2 to 1 against.

Boston has decided to not go easily.

While working on other crappola, I have been watching a lot of games without really focusing. Pretty interesting.

Is anyone else watching ?

Houston makes OKC look old. How many years too early did the Lakers get rid of Fisher? Hitting 3s, taking charges.
8 pt game 5:33 in the 4th...

I am watching off and on but, I am not too happy about the Clippers since, of course, I was hoping for more. I have been enjoying the Boston action since they are old guys playing without their point guard and the odds are not with them. SF and Denver has also been entertaining. But, in reality, there are too many games and it is the time of year when the weather is OK for outdoors stuff.

Did I mention that I also am off put by all the breaks in the action of the pro games. Constant fouls and time outs and ref video reviews really break up the games and too many commercials are shown as a result.

I agree. Since I am using it as background while I "work" on other things, I just tune out all of the stoppages. In fact I might flip back and forth to Fox News to check in on what Obama and the terrorists are doing to us loyal Americans.

Is anyone watching the Golden State : Denver game? After GS trailing for most of the 1st half, Curry found his stroke, Bogut IS having his best game ever as a Warrior, and if Denver is not careful it will be over in a couple of minutes. But, maybe Bogut was tired because he was just pulled. Maybe it will still be a game.

GS is up by 9 and Clay Thompson has 2 (two) points. Oops, Thompson just hit a shot. There are NO layups being given tonight.

GS is trying to give it away. Sloppy in-bound passes. Denver might just win.

GS just had another bad in-bound pass -- GS has 10 turnovers in the 4th Q :o

I have never seen a pro team choke as badly as the Warriors and, they still managed to win the game. It was a great end of game effort by Denver but they didn't quite pull it off. Still, the game had me fully awake and watching toward the end.
