This will be short because the more i type the more errors i make and the more strange things are... I fell again, this time down the stairs, and set myself back a little -- again. but i digress. To try to give Terri a more stable internet platform in the casa I brought in a 2nd ISP and a TP-Link box into which I plug both feeds ( both are transmitted to my antennae from nearby mountains) and it "load balances" blah blah. TL-R470T if you care...

Well it seems that one of my ISPs is, from time to time, providing me with the IP of the local electrical company, which is tagged as a spammer. which makes me a spammer. Both ISPs say " can't be me!" but it is 1 of them. I (post-strokes) can barely add 1 +1 and get 2 or spell cat if you spot me the 'ca' and am on the phone with the spanish-speaking only techs (did i mention that the strokes blew away my patheticly small amount of acquired Spanish?) so it is pretty funny. And the doctors say, 'avoid any stress'
and Terri says 'where's my internet? you bastard. You told me I would have good internet!'
So life is not as peachy as before

I guess since a lot of your high risk activities are basically off limits, you have decided to fall now and then to get the old Adrenalin rush going? Me, I figure that falling is no bueno, and that it is nature's way of saying, don't do it. And, since I fell off the ladder awhile ago, and since I still have some residual sore and weak muscles and joints from that minor event, I can say with some authority that falls are risky, particularly for elderly folks. It is said that stairs are always one of the foremost potential hazards for people with potential balance issues, but I suppose that you could not have anticipated this happening and thought of designing an elevator into the house never entered your mind. I know that the home showed me how to safely walk down stairs before they released me. It involved gripping the rail and carefully shuffling the feet onto each step. A regular staircase would have taken several hours to descend using their method. They also put a heavy duty restraining belt around me and two PT jocks had straps to catch me when I fell. One can not be too safe.

As for the internet, it is never, ever, a fault on the provider's end. This is impossible, as all know, so any faults must be, have to be, are absolutely deemed to be, with your equipment. You need to check all the connections and reboot everything. They can walk you through that, although, if you don't speak Spanish, that could create some issues. Do they have a Best Buy near you? Because, the Geek Squad could have you up and running in a New York minute. I just call Time Warner Cable when things do not seem to be to working to spec and the nice tech in India, or where ever, walks me through things and then says that I need an on site service call. Funny, since all the TWC techs speak English, yet, I have vast difficulties understanding them. I thought that I could speak English, but, apparently, it was yet another of my delusions. And then the on site TWC person shows and says that there is no problem. They do this until you finally give up and accept their lousy services. But, apparently things where you reside are not so simple.

See? I try to put a positive spin on everything, and to be helpful. But, of course, I have to admit that it seems a bit strange that you posted that you could not post. But, I will not bring that up.

Gadddamnit James, you gotta knock that shit off. At least you didn't fark yourself up too badly did you? I know you are quite slow in revealing the actual severity of things on many fronts.

I have to admit, I did not want a house with stairs. Especially as I grew older or if I planned on being there for long. But this place has stairs inside of it's Tri-Level design, and it makes me nervous. I also can barely get around when the 'weather is coming in' or I pull something more than usual. I always practice the one-step at time method, as I just know I am going to really eat it, slipping and tumbling down these either hard wood or tile stairs and get really boogered up. So, I side step and hold the hand rail like a weiner and it does take forever. For some reason, I can go up, as usual, no problem (?)

Maybe it has something to do with just looking down and like a stair step machine (D'uh?) putting one foot in front of another, even quickly, I can go right up. But, I think the bunk knee and super tight Achillies tendon do not like to hold weight or flex when going down, so I almost have to go down each step, one by one, sideways. Really stupid and embarrassing.

And then there are the gravel-strewn multiple, but short stairs outside. In the back, they are made of uneven sandstone bits and stuck together with some grout looking outdoorsy natural earthy stuff. But being uneven, poorly lit, and with the dogs kicking the gravel all over them, that too is a disaster waiting to happen. Especially when I am shuffling around in my socks and open toed Moses Sandals, as opposed to the nice, tight, toe grabbing and more secure Jesus Sandals, which I feel I am not worthy of wearing. Especially in my knee high, sports colored, striped thick cotton socks, which I was told to wear, to reduce the bone jarring and direct shocking impact and effects of going even barefoot. Besides, I have baby soft feet that hurt like some ancient Apache torture technique even when I just step on an stray M&M bare footed on the tile floor. OH, the Agony.

But really James, knock that shit off. Enough about my fragile tootsies for now.
