I think so, but it will take some time. If you wanted to put it in a time capsule, never drive it, etc. it will probably be worth 30K in 2025, and maybe 100K in 2055. Same deal with the '06.
I don't see the '04 having the same value because of the lesser motor.

It will never be a highly sought after collector car!
They run great, but the styling is nothing to get excited about. It doesn't have a unique look. It looks like a cross between a Grand Am and an old Cadillac Catera. But it's not a bad car other than that.

NO..... Being in over abundance right now doesn't tell the future market. But the car being made in Australia, Americans didn't catch on to it right off either... After most people liked the 99 Concept car's idea they where disappointed with this version.
If the Used car market brings the prices down they will be just great Drivers and SCCA racers.
Like everyone else will tell you... NO one can project the future of the Auto market in 40 years...Not even for muscle cars.
If you buy anything like the Newer GTO or Challenger,,, I highly recommend you are ready to drive it, use it, and take care of it Like you want a total refund in 30 years out of it...
Good Luck....

I don't think so. Unlike the original GTO the new generation never really captured the publics fancy. Most people didn't even know one when they saw one and the few that did, myself included, didn't really care. The styling was nothing specail and let's face, if hadn't said GTO on the side nobody would have really cared one way or another about them. If you're looking at as an investment, I would say go with a WS6 Firebird instead.

i think it will. the turbo buicks from the 80's and the 80's 442's are pulling in some good dough. not as much as say a 69 gto judge but i have seen a few sell for around 20 grand. and think about this. do really think people in the 60's and 70's would think that the muscle cars would be worth as much as they are now? and no a99blkdog it is not based on the grand am platform
Pontiac gto?

Well after working in the automobile assembly business and being an automotivre buff the only answer to your question is "time"! Edsels,CorvairsVolkswagons, Go figure, but they are at the top 10 list for collectibles and in their day either were rejected, laughed at or tolerated for transportatation
