Terri news...
No she has not filed for divorce..
In fact, on 9/25 we celebrated our (!) 36th anniversary. Apart. She is in LA getting her gall bladder yanked. It was filled to the brim with stones. So the procedure was yesterday. It went well, except for 5-6 stones escaping, so tonight they are trying to round up the escapees. She will return home next week I hope.
Life is nowhere near as much fun for me without her here (meow). I would have flown to LA with her but we are trying to cut down on my travel this year.
It continues to rain, but not heavily. This is the prettiest it has been here since we came down...

Hope she recovers soon, James. Please pass along our well wishes.
What is this... rain you speak of? It sounds like a concept from a distant memory.

I knew people, way, way, back in the day, who went to Mexico, mainly TJ, to get stoned, but, you and Terri are doing it wrong. Perhaps you both made the mistake of drinking the water in Mexico, as that was always a no-no back in the day? Or, as I know very little about medicine, are stones contagious? One assumes that all will go well, as they have been successfully yanking gall bladders forever, and, modern surgical techniques are much more advanced.
What? Of course I wish the best for Terri, as she is a gem, and, quite likeable. She also gave me food several times, and it is well known that stray animals generally appreciate being given food, and, she did not stomp me into the ground at table tennis after, shall we say, partying down, and, being, shall we say, a bit loose and supposedly a bit less coordinated than usual. I mean, when the winner throws victory snow angels on the concrete after a win, it sticks in the defeated person's mind for the rest of their life, even when that person is clearly senile. Mumble, mumble. Did i tell you about the time that..............

Re: Terri news...
vintage … Yanking gall bladders is a ''no brainer' and T was told how smart she was to have come to the Norte for the procedure (no mention of the 5-6 lost stones...). Now it seems that UCLA medical does not have the machine needed to find and remove the 'lost ones'. They are talking another week of BS in the USA... I'm not able to care for meself!!!Tetge wrote:I knew people, way, way, back in the day, who went to Mexico, mainly TJ, to get stoned, but, you and Terri are doing it wrong. Re: Terri news...
What do you mean by vintage? It was all true, and, l left out the part about either having to be struck by a 200 mph ping pong ball, or, dodging and then having to chase the ball down a 75% driveway and into traffic on the street below to retrieve it, which then meant that I had to repeatedly climb back up the 150' steep incline to get back to the action. I finally learned to take the hits by the ball, rather than to dodge, but, they said at ER, I should have caught on sooner and they might have been able to save my leg muscles.jhwalker wrote: vintage …
All true, and, anything else would be fake news.

Re: Terri news...
Terri is coming home Saturday we think. Yesterday's procedure with different medical machines got the rogue 6 gall stones out.
She has some stents that have to stay in for 2-3 months. Neither she nor I had ever had stents before this year. Now we both have 'experienced' them.
Go figure...
