GT350 and GT350R on the street and track

Post by SVTRonDogg »

Motor Trend got their hands on both models, the factory exhaust is pretty nuts. The R model is absolute sex however.

On the street it sounds like for lumping around it's not a torque monster, but open it up past 3k and it pulls till the red. Would love to get to drive one on the track. I'd have a hard time dropping the 60k+ and throwing it to the track however.

I loved the 1st vid until approx. 12:35 where the driver says "I don't think that anyone who buys a Chevy GT350 will be disappointed" ---

Oh well,

But the car sounds really good, and it appears to handle like a champ. Nice.

Having no life, I watched the 25 minute head to head vid. The Chevy is a beast, but the GT350R is just newer technology, and in this case it seems that new wins. And is wonderful. My compliments to Ford

I am glad that I am no longer buying new cars. I'd be pissing away my retirement stash on the GT350 R.

Where do they go from here? I'd really like to know how much those carbon-fiber wheels/tires weigh. I wonder what those hot poop shocks cost? Wonder if they would transplant to my SPF :?: :-D

This vid gives me the sweats to get to a track.

Terri had to get a new leased vehicle -- it is a Fusion SE with the little Ecoboost engine. We like it. While we were at Vista Steve Paul (he sold me Piggie back in 2002) said "?want to look at a GT350? " I attached some pics.
oops malfunction  back later
