This was PMed to me on another Forum by Emilio who was working on a SoCalT replacement.
Ron,
I think that Emilio is going a nice job, but what we lost was the history and the contacts.

Maybe it will catch on as a Terminator "Memorial" site.

When I see Carlos, now and then, I ask him why he doesn't post here, and he always says that the format confuses him and is difficult for him to deal with. But, Carlos never has posted a lot, and, he has not been seen much lately. No doubt he is occupied in his secret high desert lab creating some monster vehicle(s). He did get out to do some consulting on setting up an electric fan (Lincoln Mark, of course) for the never ending Hudson hot rod project. So, he is still out and about. Perhaps we can lure him out to Famoso in Feb., and see if he can hit 130 in the 1/4 with his 1000 HP Mustang?

What is confusing? When both you and Carlos both say confusing maybe there is something to look at. I'd be fine with being on the phone with you when you are getting confused.

Too little content spread way too thin across an uncessary amount of subforums is my feeling on this place.

Although all I ever do is logon and hit "View new posts".

Yup. That is how I do it. I would get lost trying to find my own posts otherwise. ;)

I too use the new posts routine. But, this might not work well for a person who only checks in every month or so, or for a person who doesn't log in, since you have to log in to use some features. The board works, but, it is different than the standard vBul boards that a lot of us are used to.
