Volvo C70 OBD Error P0455

Drinking and thinking may not mix well at times. I have never experienced any problems with this that I can remember, but it may still be so, or, so they tell me.

Well I took the C70 to the dealer yesterday and got the ECM flashed/updated.

They smoke tested the entire EVAP system and there were no leaks.

Also asked them to test my original fuel cap that I brought with me and that was fine too.

MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is off and hopefully this solved the problem.

Here is the part I needed to replace:

I also found a torn vacuum hose closest to the leak detection pump that ultimately was the problem.

The code came back after I replaced the part pictured above.

The permanent fix was replacing the torn hose connection and since then the error code has not come back.
