Could you modify a 2002 Camaro SS to beat a brand new GT500 mustang?

Im a fan of Camaro, i like mustang too, but im wondering if i bought a 2002 camaro ss for cheap (Since the economy is so bad) could i supercharge it or do something to it to make gt500's s**** itself? My friend has one, i'd definitly like to show it up lol.

as far as the 2002s go the ss is actually a collectors edition so they are pretty expensive..go with the z28 the difference is only 15 hp which comes mostly from the different exhaust which you will probably change anyways. but ya you put a pro charger, some heads, exhaust, and intake and that shit will rip it..the ls1 is amazing.. btw i have a 2002 z28 for sale :D let me know
