The workers are moving forward on the backyard project if it is not pouring rain. The rain is mostly pounding at night, and then a little in the afternoon.
But, the roads remain a mess, greasy snot-like clay. The all wheel drive Escape slips and slides back and forth. The Ducati is just a mess to ride.

Re: The "final" project on the Mexico property
The weather has improved, so as of today we have 20 folks working again. We are trying to finish in 40 more days, so we have to pick up steam.
I concluded that we should add another solar system -- prices for the systems are down, power costs are up -- so will just get it done.
The back yard is taking shape.

Re: The "final" project on the Mexico property
I left Friday morning for the USA trip to move the SPF Cobra, but Thursday, 10 of the 20 workers quit. As best I could understand it, it was too warm in the afternoons and the supervisors were pushing too hard. I will see how it goes when I return Tuesday or Wednesday. What the hell

Re: The "final" project on the Mexico property
4.5 weeks left on the project. Luis, the builder, subscribes to the notion that 9 women can make a baby in 1 month, I guess.
When I returned last Tuesday night there were about 14-15 folks working. Luis says he will bring in another 10 on Tuesday (tomorrow is yet another Mexican holiday...).
I cheaped out on a couple of things to get the contract price to one that I felt comfortable with, and now there is some pressure to "un-cheap" but with my belief that we NEED the additional solar facility making another 8-10-12 kws a day, I'm holding tight.
It is all taking shape. A pic from the balcony and a pic from the area where the loggia will be are attached.

I looked at the pictures several times but It still looks to me like an archeological site, not a landscaping feature.
