Here's the state of my tires after AutoClub:

Still plenty to go on the rears, and they are wearing pretty much right on the contact patch. The fronts are showing more wear towards the shoulders, as you can see the 'tatoo' or whatever pattern barely continues to the sidewall any more at this point.

Rough estimate is I've done 6 or so track days on these tires. Hoping to finally kill them before going to a stickier tire. Looks like I got at least a few more events left in them...

Hopefully before Dec 1, you will put some more video on youtube and perhaps give us a quick review of how you liked your new GoPro. It seems that on Dec 1, they are giving a deal on the Hero 4 Silver as per the attached.

I enjoyed the video by the Honda S2000 driver. It looked as if he was having more fun than most and, apparently, he never ran into anyone, or anything. That said, I would not want to ride with him.

I think Best Buy is having a Black Friday deal on them as well. I would have loved to wait, but I wanted the upgrade for the track weekend.

Today is 12-01, and, I almost pulled the trigger on a camera this morning. I got all the way to the screen where I would have entered my credit card info and then, I exited without completing the order. It would have been over $460 shipped as I added an extra battery, and, I have not seen enough reviews to decide it the price is warranted. Your snippet of video was pretty impressive, viewed in HD, as the camera handled the sun in its eyes well, and the sound was pretty good, but, I still have a functioning HD GoPro, so, no urgent need to get a new one exists.

It appears that the Dec 1, deal, will expire without me biting, but, knowing GoPro, the Hero 5 is just around the corner, and Hero 4's will be discounted at Costco by sometime next year. So, I can wait.....

Thanks, but, I came to my senses and decided not to drop $450+ on a new camera right now as the latest GoPro stuff will always be there if I ever need to upgrade. It is winter and I am not riding my bike or drag racing, so a new camera would not get used. I was just tempter since the Hero 4 Silver does have a lot of neat features, including the display on the back. But, then, I'd want the adapter for stereo mics and an extra battery with a discrete charger and my investment would be even greater. I have to save my money for a GT350 Mustang since rumor has the base model listing for $53000. With options they will be pushing $70K, out the door, if dealerships sell them at list. That is a lot of GoPro cameras, but, one has to start someplace.

Yup, it is on my list, if I hit the lotto. Otherwise there is no place in my budget for a $70K Mustang, not to mention the maintenance costs after purchase. I have already decided that I may have to take one more shot at a performance motorcycle if I want to get some serious motoring kicks. Otherwise, I am done, and the auto trans 5.0 will have to suffice. If that is my final decision, I think that I will replace the slippery Nitto 555's with some decent rubber and I will also put some Hawk pads in the brakes and go to a better quality brake fluid. I'd have to research 18" performance tires that would fit on my rims, but, it would be nice to have more grip than the 555's, especially on the back, since the car gets evil at times with the 555's. It turns out that even lowly cars that only go 12.38@114 can get loose on upshifts and become a bit of a handful. In fact, I now leave all the nannies engaged having really spooked myself several times. This, is, BTW, directly a result of the jumpy auto trans in the car, which has a habit of abruptly kicking down a gear or two when the throttle is pressed to call for more thrust. If you happen to be turning the wheels, as in you are going to pass someone, and the car violently kicks back into 1st or 2nd, and the nannies are off, the car can get suddenly seriously sideways, and, this is no BS. Even with all the nannies it can still step out in similar circumstances, but, they do subdue the car a bit. So, stickier tires would help. And, my one stint at the Streets of Willow, clearly showed me that the car needs better brakes.

I do like what I have seen, and heard, of the GT350, but, for a person in my financial state, it is the stuff of dreams, only.
